How Do You Thrive in Life? By Setting Priorities.

June 28, 2019

Thrive is a word I use a lot. It is, after all, the name of my business and ministry. Thrive is not only how I want to live life, but it is how I want you to live life! But, like everything in this world, in order to strive for something, you must first know what you are striving after. I don’t think there is a person reading this post that doesn’t want to live a thriving life. ... VIEW POST

Solitude Brings Life To A Weary Soul

June 28, 2019

Solitude is defined as "the state or situation of being alone." It is about finding time every day to pause from the chaos of life and simply be. I will be the first to admit that finding silence each day can be anything but easy to do in our 21st-century living. But, in order to care for our souls, it is exactly what we need to do. When we take time to care for our ... VIEW POST

How To Find Joy Again

June 28, 2019

Friend, can I ask you a personal question? Do you have joy in your life?  All too often I find that women I speak to who are empty, do not have joy in their life.   Merriam-Webster dictionary defines joy as “a source or cause of delight.” It is a state of happiness and emotion evoked by “possessing what one desires.” If I defined joy for myself, it would be anything ... Are You Taking Time To Refill Your Battery?

June 28, 2019

Recently I saw a commercial on TV that made me laugh and shout ‘no’ all at once. The commercial depicted a man who was tired and in need of a pick me-up. Using a drained phone battery to demonstrate this man’s tired state, the message of the commercial was to consume an energy drink to fill him back up to full again. Consuming this energy drink was his way to recharge so that he could ... VIEW POST

If You Want To Grow, You Must First Sow

June 27, 2019

The story about the farmer sowing seed is one of my favorite Bible stories. It goes like this: “A farmer went out to sow seed. While he was scattering the seed, some of it fell by the road. The birds came and ate all that seed. Other seed fell on rocky ground, where there was not enough dirt. It grew very fast there because the soil was not deep. But when the sun rose, it ... VIEW POST

Breathe Prayers to Calm A Mama’s Anxious Heart

June 24, 2019

It's that time of year again - time for another major transition to happen. If you are a mom with school-aged children, you know the anxiety and worry that can come as a new school year approaches. Over the past several weeks, I have had many conversations with moms and without fail a hint of worry surfaces. "What teacher will my child get? Will she be a good fit for my ... VIEW POST

Are You On Your To-Do List?

June 24, 2019

As mama's, our to-do lists are long and never-ending. Are you on this list? Whether it be grocery shopping, signing back-to-school forms, scheduling doctor and eye appointments, cleaning, doing laundry, taking the dog to the groomer, going to and from work and meetings, and driving our kids to activities, our days are full with tasks that demand our attention. Friend, do you fall anywhere ... VIEW POST

10 Ways to Slow Down Life

May 10, 2019

Life goes by fast, doesn't it? If you are not intentional about slowing down the pace of life, you will not only find yourselves blinking and wondering what in the world happened to the last few years, but doing so exhausted, as you run the hamster wheel of life. If there is one thing that I’m slowly learning, it is that LIFE IS NOT A RACE. Let that sink in a minute because you ... VIEW POST

Instagram post 2192963029611850640_3245450007 “For everything there is a season, a time for every matter under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). It has been four years since I started this journey; a journey that took me away from academia and into a season of starting and growing a business and ministry.
These past four years have been amazing - a pure gift from God! He restored my weary and exhausted soul, while also restoring my health. More importantly, He has allowed me to find my voice and to grow my faith! 🙌🏼🙏🏻 While I will go to heaven preaching the truth that getting healthy starts with seeking God, there is more.
God continues to work in my heart. He is working in and through me for a new season; a season that is not yet well defined, although the invitation to join Him is clear.

Friends, it is hard to say goodbye (especially as a Minnesotan, who loves their long... goodbyes!), but the time has come! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for 4 GREAT years!
You can read the rest of the story, by clicking on the link in my profile.
Moving forward this account will be avenue to share my beautiful family and how God is moving in my heart through education.

Instagram post 2174990247355896421_3245450007 Today, on this Veterans Day I honor all veterans, but especially my favorite veteran - my dad!
I have a lot of memories of my dad being in the military. Some very happy times like when he was put on active duty after 9/11 and spent 2 years in the same city as Andrew and I! We not only got to know my dads military buddies (his best friends), but we got a ton of free labor as they helped us renovated our turn of the century, fixer-upper house!
I also hold many fearful memories. I will never forget the 7am phone call from ”The United States Air Force” telling my dad to leave - now - for a special mission not to be disclosed to anyone, not even his family. Or the time when war began and I watched on TV the green missiles flying through the air wondering if my dad was in the line of fire.
And then there are the sad memories where instead of walking me down the isle for the biggest day of my life, he watched and listened (with one of his best friends) the wedding ceremony thousands of miles away, from a military tent where he was once again fighting a war.
While I could hold on to those sad and fearful memories I choose to remember my dad for the hero he is; one who chose his country first in order for me (and you) to be free.
My dad, however, is no different from any other veteran who made the hard sacrifice. They fought (and still fight!) for OUR freedom! So today let's make sure we thank them!

Instagram post 2161134137909929160_3245450007 I feel like the luckiest lady on this earth! I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Emily Dedo @emily_dedo about finding a new calling in life. She candidly shared her struggle with releasing Gods request to move on from her accounting job and waiting many months to find a job that better fits her spiritual gifts and personality traits. Emily’s story is SO inspirational, especially for anyone thinking about changing their job or career!
The link to her interview can be found in my profile.
